Horticultural Plants Nutrition

A Persian and English Journal on Nutrients and Horticultural Plants Relationship

Horticultural Plants Nutrition (HPN) is a peer-reviewed, open access, online journal, publishing two issues per year by the Shahed University. It has been published in Persian with extended English abstract since 2018. It publishes original research and review articles from the effect of nutrients on horticultural plants physiology, growth, quality and yield.Articles in the HPN cover filed or greenhouse production of vegetables, fruit trees, ornamentals and medicinalplants. It serves as a medial for the researchers who are interested to present their findings to Persian language countries and an international audience, which will help to develop research programs that will further our knowledge of plant nutrition. Furthermore, it is an important findings utilized by farmer and advisor to develop operational fertility methods that are based upon the current peer reviewed publications.

Based on the latest report from the Journals Commission Ranking of Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT) of Islamic Republic of Iran in 2019, the Horticultural Plants Nutrition (HPN) has been ranked B.

HPN also provides insightful coverage of topics, such as the follows:

  • Soilless culture and horticultural plant nutrient requirements and factors impacting plant nutrition
  • Nutrition involving pot production
  • Growing media evaluation of mineral and organic material
  • Mineral nutrients metabolism of plants
  • Nutrigation (fertilizer+ irrigation)
  • Nutritional requirements of fruit trees, ornamental, vegetables, medicinal plants and herbs.
  • Plant growth promoting bacteria and elemental nutrition interactions as related to crop yield.
  • Interaction of nutrition and environmental stress such as salinity and water stress.
  • Nutrient use efficiency
  • Impact of soil and air pollutant on the nutritional status
